What are the available Channels to Live on?

  • IBM Video Streaming - Meetings, Events (classic), and for versions 41.4 and later sites Events (new)
  • Facebook Live - Meetings, Events (classic), and for versions 41.4 and later sites Events (new)
  • Vbrick Rev - Meetings, Events (classic), and for versions 41.4 and later sites Events (new)
  • Workplace from Facebook - Meetings, Events (classic), and for versions 41.4 and later sites Events (new)
  • Other streaming services—to use a streaming service such as YouTube using YouTube Live,  Twitter using Periscope Producer or GEVME—Meetings, Events (classic), and for versions 41.4 and later sites Events (new) (Use this to Stream to GEVME)

Enabling

Webex video platform version 2.0, with a paid Webex Meeting or Webex Events plan.

Your Webex Administrator to enable the relevant settings.

Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options > Live Streaming Services

Schedule a Meeting / Events

  • Sign in to the Webex Portal
  • Start Meeting / Events
  • Click on Streaming

Configure Other Streaming Service

The Stream Key details can be retrieved from Live Streaming / Channel Creation.

Starting the Stream

Click Start streaming to start streaming from Meetings or Events.


To confirm that you're streaming, check for the Live icon indicator in the upper-right corner of your meeting or event.

Go back to the streaming service and wait until you see a preview of a live stream of your meeting or event. When you see the preview, make the stream live.


End the Stream

When you want to end the live stream, go back to your meeting or event, select More options and then select Stop streaming.
